I believe they call this post In My Mailbox(1)

So this is my first IN MY MAILBOX post!!!! Wow, I get excited over things like this, weirdddd. Okay now onto the books I have just received from Amazon.

Now my ravings on how good these books sound:
1. Divergent by Veronica Roth: Okay so first of all I am seriously obsessed really getting into the whole ya dystopian genre and every blog I look at has given this a 5 star review so how could I not read this book? HOW?!?!?! This book also takes place in Chicago where I was born:), but I don't live there now. I was just their though and my family and I ate at a Chinese restaurant in the chinatown area and there was NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THAT RESTAURANT! How could an eating place not have an ac when Chicago was going through such a hot heat wave??? Ughh....so annoying. I'll stop rambling now.
2. Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini: As I said in my review of the Goddess Test I LOVE Greek mythology so I new I would love this book. I also really like the cover.
3. Awaken by Kate Kacvinsky: I am seriously excited to read this book, really excited. I <3 dystopian! OMG I just noticed that on the cover there are pixels surrounding the flower. That's deep. K, moving along now.
4. Incarceron by Catherine Fisher: I was post the Maze Runner syndrome and saw this book and how it seemed similar to the Maze Runner so I read into it and decided to get it with my amazon giftcard. It sound really.....fascinating.
5. Heist Society by Ally Carter: Okay, I just started this book today and am loving it!!!!
Well that's it for my IN MY MAILBOX. Bye!:)

The First Review Ever on This Blog: The Goddess Test

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
My rating: 7
Book Description:
It's always been just Kate and her mom—and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld—and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy—until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.
Book Review:
First things first, I am a huge fan of Greek mythology. Really big fan so I knew I was going to like this book even before I started reading it. So my thoughts on the Goddess test? This book is a perfect summer read. It is a light read and not a super long book. There is like 300 pages, but the Goddess Test just kept me hooked the whole through so it kinda felt like 250 pages.
I loved the characters of this book especially Henry. Kate was great too, but sometimes I just wanted to shake her and say live your own life. What else??? Oh! I thought it was really cool in the end with all the characters and the romance in the novel was perfect, simply perfect.
The only real con to this book is that it is predictable. Not super predictable, but I could guess what was going to happen 3-5 pages before it did. There were a few surprises though that I do not think I saw coming. Another con was the tests. I thought they were going to be like the triwizard tournament, but no they were hidden. So don't get your hopes up on that.
Overall the Goddess Test was a great read. It kinda felt like it was Greek Mythology meets Beauty and the Beast(Disney version). Like sick mom, has to find a bride instead of finding true love like in B&B, etc. (I don't want to give a way anything else). Any fan of Greek mythology and Tera Lynn Childs will love this book. I hope this was a great first review!

First Post Syndrome

Well, hello there to those of you who have come across this blog.  Ughh...first posts are just so awkward. I think I have first post syndrome. Does anyone else get this syndrome I just made up??? I have know idea what to put for my first post. I wonder if.... Oh great now I'm rambling. Okay I'm gonna start over here.
Hi there I'm the bookie monster, the person who blogs on this blog, yep that's me. I don't really think I need to introduce myself any further BECAUSE I have an about me page that you can view. See look over there in that sentence? I linked the about me so you can learn, well, about me. I been noticing I've said "well" quite a lot in this post. I think I still have first post syndrome. I'll push through though. Okay, so what else? Ahhhhh! Eureka! Books. I think I have gotton(silly me, "gotton" is not a word) gotten past my little syndrome. Okay new paragraph time.
So I AM A BOOK BLOGGER and therefore should probably talk about the books I read. Well right now I'm really into the dystopian(is that spelled right? spell check wasn't helping me correct it.) young adult books(think: Hunger Games, Delirium, The Maze Runner, Across the Universe), those contemporary books(think: If I Stay, The Year of Secret Assignments, Paper Towns), I really really love the books which are about Greek mythology(think: Percy Jackson, Oh.My.Gods., The Goddess Test), Whatever the werewolf, mermaid, and the book Halo and Firelight classify under. Of course Sarah Dessen. Obviously HARRY POTTER. I LOVE HARRY POTTER. Okay so HPbooks/movies - all the twilight stuff + ME= pure love and happiness. Of course there are other books, but those are just examples. Oh I also like the Book Thief and Revolution; I'm just not sure what genre they are under. Okay I just remembered what the werewolf, mermaid, etc. books go under PARANORMAL. I love paranormal. Okay onto the review system.
I going to review books on a 1-10 rating system. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. That simple. Wow, short paragraph.
A FINAL NOTE: I really hope you all will enjoy this blog as much as I do blogging it. I really truly do. I hope you all follow Bookie Monster and comment on my posts. That would just make my day everyone:)) Feel free to contact me also. Here's my email: gnflippers@gmail.com
